Italy’s new coach, Jupp Heynckes: ‘I know it’s hard to say’

Jupp Weintraub is back in charge of the Italian national team after the coach of the team in their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign announced his departure on Tuesday.

Italy then doubled their lead in the 27th minute when Paulo Dybala went close with a curling header from a Dani Alves free kick.

Alves, who scored for Croatia against Italy in the World Cup qualifying opener, doubled the lead in just the 51st minute when he fired into the top corner.

Italy won the first leg 3-1 after the second leg was abandoned due to a late goal scored by Italy’s Gianluigi Buffon, and have now won all five of their remaining group games.
